What to expect and what we will need to begin assisting you in the resolution of your debts:
As previously stated, we treat our clients like family. There is no judgment with regard to why you are in the financial situation that you have found yourself, whether it was preventable or not. We will; however, provide you with information you will need to resolve your current financials, and go over recovery of your financials after having filed for Bankruptcy.
Most appointments are done via Zoom or Teams; however, if you'd rather an in person appointment just let us know, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible, and are sensitive to your scheduling needs.
First Appointment, what we need:
- Current Photo Identification
- Social Security Cards or ITIN Card
- 2 Most recently filed Tax Returns, along with Forms W-2 anad 1099's (as applicable)
- Copy of all paystubs for the 7 months prior to case filing (additionally any paystubs you receive between consultation and case filing date)
- Copy of monthly profit and loss statements for the 7 months prior to case filing (business cases only)
- Copies of your last 3 months' bank statements for all accounts which your name is attached. For Chapter 7 Bankruptcey cases you will need to provide bankstatements dated the date of your case filing as well.
- Copy of any foreclosure documents, vehicle repossession notices, bank levies, wage garhishments and most recient copy of each of your bills and/or collection accounts. We will pull your credit report(s) as well, but the listed documents provide us with additional information for hour case filing.
- A signed retainer agreement, along with any retainer payment, will be required prior to proceeding with your case.
- Certificate(s) of approved Bankruptcy Credit Counseling Course.
PLEASE NOTE: You have no protection from your creditors, their actions of foreclosure, repossission, bank levies, wage garnishments, or other collections until your case has been filled with the United States Bankruptcy Court.
